Cookie policy

This page explains which cookies and similar tools ammaretrani.it uses, under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s Cookie Guidelines of 10 June 2021. The controller is Fattibene Nicola, the sole proprietorship running Ammare Trani – B&B (full details and your rights in the privacy notice).

In short

  • Without your consent the site uses technical cookies only, which do not require it.
  • There are no profiling or advertising cookies, no social pixels and no embedded videos. Fonts and scripts come from our own server: while you browse, your browser does not contact external services.
  • The Google map (How to get here section and Contacts page) loads only if you accept third-party cookies or open it yourself.
  • Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4) are not active. If we switch them on, they will run only with your consent.
  • You can review or change your choices at any time: Cookie preferences (the link is also at the bottom of every page).

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between pages or visits. Similar tools (such as the browser’s local storage) work the same way: on this page we call them all “cookies”. The site does not use the browser’s local storage.

The banner and consent

On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are identical buttons; with “Customise” you choose category by category. Closing the banner with the X means rejecting: only technical cookies keep working. The banner does not reappear for 180 days unless the cookies used or this policy change.

To prove your choice, the site keeps a record of it: random consent ID, choice, date and time, banner version, language, browser, page and truncated IP address. The record is kept for 5 years.

Cookie categories

Necessary (technical)

They make the site work, for example by remembering your language and your cookie choices. They do not require consent (Art. 122(1) of the Italian Privacy Code) and cannot be switched off from the banner.

Statistics

None today. If we use Google Analytics 4, we will use Google’s Consent Mode v2: without your yes, Google’s script does not load. Before switching it on we will update this page with the cookies, durations and provider.

Third parties and marketing

The site sets no advertising cookies of its own. The only third-party service that can set cookies is the Google map in the How to get here section and on the Contacts page: it loads if you accept third-party cookies in the banner, or only there if you click “Show the map”. Until then Google receives nothing. The map’s cookies belong to Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC, which manages them as an independent controller: Google’s cookie policy.

List of cookies

The list below is generated from the same configuration as the banner, so it always matches what the site does.

Links to external services

Links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Booking.com and Airbnb are plain links: nothing loads until you open them. Once on the external service, its own cookie rules apply.

Managing cookies in your browser

Besides the banner, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. If you block technical cookies, the banner will appear on every visit.
